Project: Intranet and kiosk-delivered interactive guide and tutorials, with CD-ROM based outreach applicationClient: The British Library The British Library required an interactive guide to the Library's facilities and resources, which would enable current and potential users of the Library's on-site Reading Rooms to understand the facilities and regulations. They also wanted to give the general public access to the restricted Reading Rooms in the form of interactive panoramas. The Library also wanted to provide an introduction to the Library's Online Catalogue system using interactive tutorials. A separate version was also produced for the use of Visually Impaired visitors to the Library. Footmark Media were responsible for the interface design, helping to originate photographic elements and creation of inetractive tutorials and panoramas, and creating the master CD for production and stand alone versions. Features: Intranet delivered version for public access terminals and CD-ROM delivered version for outreach programme The commission of new photographs plus the creation of 360 dgree interactive panoramas of each room. The production of a specialist version for visually impaired users with configurable text colour and size and background colour. The application was to be delivered via public access terminals within the Library from an intranet service, as well as distributed externally on CD-ROM as part of the Library's 'outreach' provision.
