Interactives? Multimedia? Why and how!
Richard Gray, Footmark Media
An introduction to what we mean by interactives and multimedia - and why they're not as scary as they sometimes seem! Including simple activities and multimedia elements can enhance displays, galleries and websites, making them more useful, more interesting, more educational and more inclusive - and they're not restricted to big-budget projects or large-scale applications. Find out how even small organisations can benefit from imaginative and well-designed interactive elements.

What to think about before you start
Wendy Earle, Online Education Manager, BFI
Cultural education has been getting a higher profile recently, with the government’s ‘cultural offer’ to schools. However, getting funding for cultural education projects remains a challenge. Drawing on personal experience and my PhD research I will look at the processes and pitfalls in developing and implementing a project of which interactive multimedia is a part. This isn’t so much about providing practical (or technical) advice as looking at the real issues involved in developing project proposals for funding. It’s about being clear about what you want and keeping track of your main goals while trying to tick all the necessary boxes!"
